, which provides a brief primer on our organization and how you can benefit from it.
Busy young professionals possess a latent desire to "give back" to the community, but are often deterred from taking the first step because they do not know where to begin. At the same time, there are a variety of compelling volunteer programs and outstanding junior board positions at New York City's best-run non-profit organizations. This situation constitutes an inefficiency—one that Wall Street Volunteers addresses by connecting our members with the New York City non-profit organizations that need them.
The near-term mission of Wall Street Volunteers is to promote and facilitate volunteerism among our members. Our long-term mission is to cultivate a sense of civic responsibility within the next generation of Wall Street leaders, creating individuals with lifelong commitments to the non-profit community.
Wall Street Volunteers is the sole program of The Wall Street Volunteers Corporation, a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of New York in 2004.
