Visual Impairment

110 East 30th Street
New York, NY  10016

JBI International (formerly The Jewish Braille Institute of America) seeks the integration of Jews who are blind, visually impaired, reading disabled and physically handicapped in the Jewish community and society in general. We assist those whom we serve to participate in the religious, educational, cultural and communal life of the Jewish people. Our scope is international and we serve those of all ages and backgrounds. Founded over 70 years ago, JBI has been the link between the Jewish world in all its aspects and those of our people who are blind or visually impaired. Today, more than 30,000 men, women and children around the world enjoy a broad variety of JBI services. Special resources have also been made available to the reading disabled and physically handicapped.
