Teaching teens the fundamentals of finance

Cents Ability's mission is to empower New York City high school students to achieve their goals through the prudent and informed management of their financial resources.

Cents Ability obtained its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in May 2004. Since then classes have been taught at The Door, the Union Settlement Association, Monroe Academy, Washington Irving High School, The Chinatown Manpower Project, SCAN La Guardia, Harlem RBI, The Albert G. Oliver Program, and the John V. Lindsay Wildcat Academy Charter School.

Literacy Partners is a non-profit organization whose mission is to teach adults in reading, writing and numeracy in tutorial and family literacy programs staffed by volunteers and professionals. For over thirty years, we have been teaching thousands of New York City adults, in free classes, the basic literacy skills that are essential to a full life as individuals, parents and citizens.
